An almost imperceptible meeting of sea and sky and long stretches of white sand provide the backdrop to the advertising campaign for Church’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection, set in the English town of St. Ives. Romantic shots with a hint of irony convey the spirit and nature of the surroundings and beaches and offer glimpses of this part of Cornwall, recounting the joyful and carefree summer of three young people from a window overlooking the ocean. Brett Lloyd’s images present soft and natural colours, like the sand, smoothed by the waves, and the blue of the ocean that stretches beyond the cliffs, in a boundless place where time seems to stand still, and where everything feels vaguely surreal.
