Milan, 12^th October 2021 - The Rector of the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum 1088, Prof. Eng. Francesco Ubertini, awarded the prestigious University Seal to Patrizio Bertelli and Max Sirena in recognition of their entrepreneurial commitment and the results achieved by the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team in the 36^th America’s Cup presented by PRADA. In addition to the 300 students present, the Olympic and Paralympic medal-winning athletes enrolled at the University of Bologna, on their return from the recent Tokyo competition, also took part in the ceremony.

Prof. Eng. Francesco Ubertini, Rector of the University of Bologna, declared: “By conferring the seal, we want to express the highest acknowledgment of our University for the great goals that a great team has achieved... consolidating an intense relationship with the Italian business community.”

Patrizio Bertelli, President of Luna Rossa and CEO of the Prada Group, signed the university’s golden book with the following message: “After fifty-four years from the first day at the university of Bologna (ed. Patrizio Bertelli was enrolled in engineering), I am receiving the university seal. I thank the university and hope that it will form world-renowned professionals and scholars.”

Max Sirena, Skipper and Team Director of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, instead emphasized: “I am very honored to receive this acknowledgment that, for us, represents an important symbol of the commitment and strong teamwork carried out with the entire Luna Rossa team.”
