On 16 and 17 October respectively Prada Broadway Epicenter (New York) and Prada Rong Zhai (Shanghai) hosted two debates dedicated to the Prada Re-Nylon project.
In New York, the photographer Cristina Mittermeier discussed conservation photography – a new discipline that highlights the radical shifts currently taking place in the global environment – with Tina Brown, a multi-award-winning journalist and founder of the Women in the World association. Meanwhile, in Shanghai, during Fashion Week, Prada Rong Zhai held a debate entitled ‘Imagining a Circular World’, moderated by journalist, environmentalist and opinion leader Shaway Yeh – a topic chosen to increase businesses’ and designers’ awareness of their sustainability responsibilities.
Both events were accompanied by a cocktail party, a special screening of episodes from the ‘What We Carry’ series and special installations dedicated to Prada Re-Nylon.
