Rome, 21 December 2021 - Patrizio Bertelli, CEO of the Prada Group, has received from the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) the “Collare d’Oro” (Golden Necklace) for sports – the highest Italian sports award – for his commitment and support in the development of Italian sailing. The ceremony was held in Rome, at the Auditorium della Musica “Ennio Morricone”, at the presence of the Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, who personally awarded the decoration to Patrizio Bertelli. On stage, together with the Premier, the President of CONI, Giovanni Malagò, the Sports Secretary Valentina Vezzali, the President of the Italian Paralympic Committee, Luca Pancalli, and all the Olympic and Paralympic champions of Tokyo 2020 next to the Olympic sports World Champions, who were also awarded the Collare d’Oro.

Patrizio Bertelli declared: “I am very honored to receive this award, which recognizes not only my personal commitment in the sport of sailing, but also the one of the members of team Luna Rossa who, throughout the years, backed with passion and competence the America’s Cup challenges”.
