On 5 December 2017, on the occasion of Art Basel Miami Beach, Prada will be inaugurating a new shop in the heart of Miami’s Design District, revealing a new visual identity.

Inspired by the city of Miami itself, the new space embodies the contrasts and contradictions forming an integral part of Prada’s identity, making them permeate through the specific site in which it is located.

The internal space, with walls in bas-relief evoking the’Tropical Deco’ style of old Miami Beach, simulates the domestic sphere and is furnished with original pieces created by the most important Brazilian designers and architects of the mid-twentieth century, including Joaquim Tenreiro, universally recognised as being the father of Brazilian design, Carlo Hauner, Martin Eisler, Jorge Zalszupin, José Zanine Caldas and Sérgio Rodrigues. The exterior reflects the  precision and obsession for straight lines typical of 1960s architecture.

This precise and recognisable aesthetic is filtered through the eyes of the brand.

With a surface area of approximately 650 sq. m., the new Prada shop offers the clothing, accessories and footwear collections for men and women.
