PRADA GROUP: ANOTHER STEP FORWARD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

The Prada Group has signed a supply agreement to power all of its Italian facilities with 100% renewable electricity. Thanks to this partnership, all the electricity used in the Group’s offices, plants and shops throughout Italy and in the Fondazione Prada’s venues will come from solar, wind, hydroelectric or geothermal sources.

Using green energy is part of our drive in recent years to make our energy use more efficient and rational, with various sustainability projects designed to optimise consumption and reduce CO2 emissions: replacing antiquated lighting systems with modern LED lights in 115 shops, installing four photovoltaic systems with a total power output of 1 MW, opening eight LEED-certified stores and modernising air-conditioning and heating systems.

Other projects are also currently underway, with the aim of reducing and optimising the environmental impact of all our activities.
