Photographer Willy Vanderperre inaugurates Ascension, the first chapter of the 365 project for the Men’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection, capturing young actor Joe Alwyn. The images offer an adventurous and heroic vision of the character, recalling the cartoon novels that inspired the show, highlighted by the protagonist’s proud pose and the evocative iron and glass dome of Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. A contamination of real and surreal, suggested by the impressing background and the abstractionism of the lateral images, elevating Alwyn to the ideal Prada man: a conqueror, an adventurer, an idol.
