Prada inaugurates its first store within the prestigious MixC department store in Chongqing, China.
The space occupies a total area of over 600 square metres and is dedicated to women’s and men’s collections of ready to wear, leather goods, footwear and accessories.
The external façade is a work of kinetic art, characterised by imposing spiral metal blades in gold and silver in the upper part, and black Marquinia marble in the lower, framing the large windows.
The interior includes the modern design of the ceiling beams, elegant doorways and display surfaces in green Aver marble. It is defined by the chequered floor of black and white marble, inspired by the historic Prada store in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
Special furniture pays tribute to the masters of Milanese design of the 1950s such as Giò Ponti and Osvaldo Borsani, including green velvet seats for the Woman’s area and grey velvet for the Man’s space, making the environment elegant and refined.
