Prada has been selected among the brands exhibited at the Museum of Fashion and Costume at Pitti Palace in Florence for Animalia Fashion, an exhibition that explores the influence of the animal world in the creative process of contemporary fashion.

The exhibition - divided into seventeen sections, each dedicated to a different species -, traces the fashion creations from 2000 to 2018 with a selection of clothes, accessories, footwear and jewelry inspired by the animal kingdom, sometimes with explicit representations, others soliciting the imagination and the mental associations of the spectator through shapes, textures and colors.

Surprising and suggestive in the proposed combinations, but also a deep invitation to reflect on the wonders of the universe, the installation is conceived as a fantastic, hyperbolic natural history museum. On display, a Prada look from the Fall/Winter 2011 Women’s collection and Entomology, the limited edition bag created by Miuccia Prada with Damien Hirst.
