Narrating Italian History through Fashion 1971-2001: this is the theme of Italiana, an exhibition inaugurated on 22nd February at Milan’s Palazzo Reale during the Milan’s Women Fashion Week. Conceived and curated by Maria Luisa Frisa and Stefano Tonchi and promoted by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, it will be open to the public until 6th May 2018.
Prada and Miu Miu are two of the main brands participating with a selection of looks and accessories to an exhibition setting that, rather than following chronological order, unfolds at Palazzo Reale over the course of several chapters dedicated to distinct themes that support the success of Made in Italy and its unmistakable lifestyle.
This time frame marked a pivotal, captivating period characterized by fruitful collaborations and exchanges among the members of an Italian generation including artists, architects, designers and intellectuals who shaped the cultural evolution.
