Purpose and Values
On 9th November 2023, Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada S.p.A. Executive Director & Prada Group Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, has become “Patron of the Ocean Decade Alliance”, a network of eminent partners of the Ocean Decade supporting for the Decade of Marine Sciences for Sustainable Development 2021-2030. The recognition testifies the vision and actions of the Prada Group to raise awareness on the topic of ocean preservation through the SEA BEYOND project.
On March 16th, 2023 Prada Group received the 2022 LinkedIn Award for the Best Talent Acquisition Team. The prize is recognized to companies across LinkedIn community leading the future of work by engaging and nurturing talents through the platform in 2022.
On 25th September 2022, on the occasion of the "Sustainable Fashion Awards 2022" organized by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Prada Group received The Oceans Award for SEA BEYOND, the educational programme which aims to educate young generations on ocean preservation. The award was presented by scientist, author and environmentalis Kiara Nirghin and was accepted by Patrizio Bertelli.
On October 2021, the Rector of the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum 1088, Prof. Eng. Francesco Ubertini, awarded the prestigious University Seal to Patrizio Bertelli and Max Sirena in recognition of their entrepreneurial commitment and the results achieved by the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team in the 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA. In addition to the 300 students present, the Olympic and Paralympic medal-winning athletes enrolled at the University of Bologna, on their return from the recent Tokyo competition, also took part in the ceremony.
On October 2021, Miuccia Prada has been recognized with the John B. Fairchild Honor for Lifetime Achievement by WWD magazine, celebrating her enduring influence on fashion.
She accepted the award virtually within the WWD Apparel and Retail CEO online Summit.
On December 3rd, 2020, Prada received the 2020 Fashion Award under the Creativity category, recognized as a brand that embodies creativity and social responsibility. Co-Creative Directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons were selected as they created positive change within the fashion industry this year, while demonstrating the power of creativity and the importance of conversations through their first show together last September. Also the Fashion Pact coalition – of which Prada is signatory – received the Positive Change award for being a “celebration of individuals and organizations leading change”.
On December 10th, in London, Miuccia Prada received the Outstanding Achievement Award, presented by the British Fashion Council, for her outstanding contribution to the global fashion industry.
This award has been assigned to Miuccia Prada for her original and pioneering approach, her extraordinary vision and her incredible nonconformity.
On November 14th, 2016, Miuccia Prada received the Glamour USA’s Women of the Year award in Los Angeles for her contribution in fashion, art and culture.
The award recognizes her pioneering and undeniable role in the creation of a successful company as well as her innovative and inquisitive spirit sprung from her genuine interest towards society.
In December 2015 Miuccia Prada receives from the President of the Republic the highest honorary title of the Order of Merit of the Republic, the title of Knight of The Grand Cross. The honorary title is conferred for her international success and contribution in the Italian fields of creativity, fashion and style as well as recognition of the cultural values expressed by the Prada Group, conveyed through her Foundation.
During the first edition of the International Designer of the Year Award, the British Fashion Council awards Miuccia Prada. Born to celebrate the most significant designer on the international scene, the prestigious prize was assigned to Miuccia Prada for her tireless creativity and ability to continuously innovate.
On 26 May 2010, the American Academy in Rome awarded Miuccia Prada with the McKim 2010 Prize. The Academy recognized Mrs. Prada not only for her achievements and world-wide renown as a designer and business woman but also for her exceptional contributions internationally as a patron of the arts and scholarship and as co-founder of Fondazione Prada.
In 2004, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) honours Miuccia Prada with the prestigious International Award. The recognition assigned to a “non-American designer, whose work has exceptionally contributed to the world of fashion” was awarded for the “bold vision and impact of her recent collections on international style”.
Miuccia Prada receives the “VH1 Fashion Award” for Womenswear Designer of the Year, the prize created by the popular music channel VH1, and assigned by jury of 150 fashion and music professionals. The following year and in 1998 Miuccia Prada wins the award again.
