A friction, an interaction, between light and dark, fragility and strength, romance and aggression: highlights of the Fall/Winter 2019 Prada men’s and women’s show are captured, distilled and recontextualised as still and moving imagery for digital platforms.

Framed by evocative, dramatic elements of the show decor - foam-padded spikes, exaggerated light-bulbs with glowing filaments, the bare concrete walls of the vast Deposito space - the cast of models twist and turn through a monochrome panorama, like figures from a science fiction movie. Close-up and long-shots shift our focus, animate, showcasing entire outfits and isolated, intimate details. Etched, dramatic shadows highlight attenuated silhouettes; the palette is precise, colour heightened against the darkness. The mood is poetic but without nostalgia.
